embeddedPowerPCProcessor.SincetheprocessorsharesthesamedieastheFPGAitseamlessly

interfaceswiththeFPGAfabric.



AnewfeatureoftheVitex‐4FPGAistheadditionofanauxiliaryprocessorinterface.TheAPUisthe

highestspeedinterfacebetweenthePower‐PC™processorandtheFPGAfabric.Uptofourcustom

instructionsmaybeimplementedintheFPGA,whichareaccessiblefromthePower‐PC™.


